Waste Plastic Recycling 100 billion Market Divide (II)

Abstract

Home appliance plastic recycling has a long way to go China has become a major producer and consumer of household appliances. According to a survey conducted by the National Bureau of Statistics, there are currently about 0.35 billion televisions in my country, about 0.17 billion washing machines, and about 0.13 billion refrigerators. In addition, the number of computers and air conditioners is also quite large. Most of these electrical appliances entered ordinary families in the middle and late 1980 s. In the next few years, my country will usher in the peak of home appliance upgrading. According to the service life of household electrical appliances of 10 to 15 years, the average number of TV sets to be scrapped in China is more than 5 million sets per year, about 5 million washing machines and about 4 million refrigerators.

Home appliance plastic recycling has a long way to go

China has become a major producer and consumer of household electrical appliances.

According to the service life of household appliances of 10-15 years, the average number of TV sets to be scrapped in China is more than 5 million, about 5 million washing machines and 4 million refrigerators, and more than 1500 million waste household appliances will be eliminated every year. In addition, in recent years, electronic and communication equipment, such as computers, mobile phones, VCDs, DVDs, records, etc., have been upgraded at a faster rate, and the number of scrapped materials has risen sharply, which has also brought serious environmental problems.

As China has not yet established a standardized recycling system for waste household appliances, the phenomenon of extended service of household appliances and arbitrary disposal of waste household appliances is more common, resulting in security risks, energy waste and environmental pollution problems are becoming more and more prominent. Automotive Plastic Recycling Urgently Needed Attention

The use of plastic to make auto parts can reduce the quality of the car and improve the performance of the parts, but the recycling is not enough, which will bring environmental problems. It is predicted that the total demand for automobiles in China will surpass Germany in 2005 and become the third largest consumer in the world.

At present, the recycling, recycling and utilization technology of automobile waste plastics has become a hot spot in foreign countries, and has gradually formed a new industry. However, in China, the recycling rate of automobile waste plastics is not high and has not been paid enough attention.

At present, the consumption of automotive plastics in China is increasing year by year, including polyvinyl chloride, polypropylene, polyethylene, polyurethane, ABS, polyamide, polyoxymethylene, etc., with an annual consumption of 400000 tons. As the amount of automobile scrap increases year by year, it is estimated that the total consumption of automobile plastics in China will reach about 800000 tons by 2010. Therefore, the task of recycling and recycling waste automotive plastic parts will become more and more difficult.
