Brief News-China Releases National Standard for Nanomaterials

Abstract

Recently, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine and the National Standards Committee jointly issued 7 national standards for nanomaterials. This is the first nanomaterial standard issued in the form of a national standard in the world.

Recently, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine and the National Standards Committee jointly issued 7 national standards for nanomaterials. This is the first nanomaterial standard issued in the form of a national standard in the world. The seven standards were implemented on April 1, 2005.

 

The seven criteria are:

Terminology for Nanomaterials (GB/T19619-2004)

Nanopowders-Determination of particle size distribution-Small angle X-ray scattering method (GB /T13221-2004)

Determination of Specific Surface Area of Solid Matter by Gas Adsorption (GB/T19587-2004)

Nanometer Nickel Powder (GB /T19588-2004)

Nano zinc oxide (GB/T19589-2004)

Ultrafine Calcium Carbonate (GB/T19590-2004)

Nano Titanium Dioxide (GB/T19591-2004)
